MUSCAT: The first batch of Omani female firefighters has joined the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA), on Monday.
The recruitment of this group is part of the Authority's strategy to train a cadre of competent and ready national personnel to work in the field of firefighting, contributing to the support of the response system and raising the level of preparedness for dealing with various incidents and emergencies.
The recruits will undergo a comprehensive training and qualification programme that includes theory, practice and field exercises, with the aim of grooming them with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their assigned tasks according to approved professional standards.
The move embodies the CDAA’s commitment to investing in human capital and establishing a work environment based on competence and professionalism, keeping pace with the development in civil defence and ambulance to enhance the quality of services provided to the community.
The joining of the first batch of female firefighters also confirms the CDAA’s continued implementation of its plans to prepare qualified national cadres capable of keeping pace with the requirements of field work and contributing efficiently to the protection of lives and property.
